Synopsis

Max has been a caterer for events and weddings for 30 years and is getting close to throwing in the towel. When he arrives at a magnificent chateau for one more wedding, everything appears to be in order – staff, cooks, dishwshers, photographer, flowers, music – but he doesn’t realize that this particular day will prove the ultimate test of his abilities. As everything starts to go wrong, the staff have to ensure that the happy couple have the best day of their lives and is unaware of the chaos going on behind the scenes.

DIRECTOR

Eric Toledano, Olivier Nakache

France’s film-making duo Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache started making short films together in 1995 with Le Jour Et La Nuit and, after two further shorts, they made their first feature Let’s Be Friends starring Gerard Depardieu in 2004. Their second feature Those Happy Days (2006) reunited them with Omar Sy, the actor who had played in their 2002 short Ces Jours Heureux. Sy was also in their third feature Tellement Proches (2009) and most notably their fourth feature Intouchables (2011), which became a cultural phenomenon and sold more than 50 million tickets worldwide. It is to this day the biggest French hit of all time and was recently remade in the US as The Upside with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart. The duo’s latest films are Samba (2014) and Le Sens De La Fete (2017), which have both been huge hits in France and sold widely around the world.
