SYNOPSIS

The sequel to Journey To The West: Conquering The Demons continues the story of Monkey King, who now has been tamed by Tang Sanzang and become one of his disciples. Sandy and Pigsy join Tang and Monkey King on their journey to the west, encountering many demons on the treacherous route. But each battle with a demon helps them grow and become better people.

An internationally acclaimed director, Tsui Hark started making experimental movies with 8mm film when he was only 13. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, majoring in film, he returned to Hong Kong in 1977 and landed a job working in television. In 1979 he made his film debut with The Butterfly Murders and has made almost 50 features in his career including a slow of classic “wuxia” titles like The Swordsman (1990) and Once Upon A Time In China (1991) and recent hits like the Detective Dee films, The Taking Of Tiger Mountain (2014) and Journey To The West: The Demon Strikes Back (2017). In 1984 he and Nansun Shi co-founded prolific production company Film Workshop.
